Meet Charity Ann Godfrey
Charity graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hodges University. She and her husband of 25 years moved to SWFL in 2005. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC 15667 and National Certified Counselor. Currently, she is a doctoral student at Walden University in Counselor Education and Supervision.
Her clinical experiences include counseling: adolescents, adults, couples, and families in various therapeutic settings for: Couples in crisis, Addiction, Mental Health Diagnoses, Trauma, and Grief.
Currently, I serve on the task force for MADD covering five counties-Hendry/Glades, Charlotte, Collier, and Lee. I reside as the addiction/mental health expert on the Victim Panel Class, which is held once monthly, mandated by the state for offenders. Also, I serve on the Advisory Committee for the Florida Southwestern State College Social and Human Services Program. Providing service to the community through participating in educational panels and victim advocacy is an ethical responsibility that is a part of my professional identity.
